My name is Fernando Palacios Dueso, and I'm an Art Director. (Si hablas español, haz click aquí)
Well, I'm not one yet, but I'm trying. In the meantime, I'm going through a Bachelor of Journalism and working as a freelance writer and designer, while also devouring all kind of cultural memorabilia, from Murakami and Tim Ferris books to films like Her or Mad Max, games like Transistor, TV series like Halt and Catch Fire and True Detective, podcasts from Radiolab or WTNV, and YouTube essays from Vsauce.
On the dog days, I like to play Dark Souls or League of Legends, emulate old glories from the SNES or PS2, and binge-watch anything from Studio Ghibli to Rick and Morty, (or even re-visit Forrest Gump for the tenth time).
tldr: I don't like to be quiet. I've never liked it.
Most of my time, though, I'm trying to improve my designs or fighting with Photoshop. I've never really gone through a professional art or design school, so most of my skills were self-taught from blogs, forums, books, and online courses. To date, I've completed courses on web development, graphic design, marketing, art direction, data journalism, ethics, astronomy, and a lengthy and weird ectétera.
The rest of the time, I'm either raging on social media about the latest awful redesign, suffering from bad advertisement, cursing over businesses with billboards on Comic Sans, narrating my everyday life or sharing interesting art and design links.
If you've come this far, I'd dare say you might be interested in what I have to say. I'd recommend taking a look at my blog, or dropping by my Twitter account, where I'm even more annoying.
